Teaching

Giving others the desire to search in their turn.

Why teach

A Master's in pedagogy taught me this: teaching is not filling a vessel, it's lighting a fire. Whether at the piano, in a lecture, or in the workshop, my role isn't to hand out ready-made answers, but to make people want to keep searching on their own.

01 · The Craftsman's Gesture

Understanding the instrument through the hands

Restoring a piano means learning through the hands what years of practice don't always reveal: the instrument's intimate mechanics, its patience, its demands.

02 · The Spoken Word

Lectures & Talks

Speaking about music, philosophy, or travel in front of an audience is another way of composing — you have to find the right tempo, the right silences, for the idea to truly land.

03 · Pedagogy

A Master's degree, a conviction

Trained in pedagogy at the Haute École de Musique in Lausanne, I approach teaching as a discipline in its own right — as demanding and as alive as the stage.
